基本英语只用 850个单词就能表达日常大部分意思‌，其中动词只有 18 个 。
C.K. Ogden说普通人花 30 小时就能学会这套系统，能写简单消息、点餐问路、看资讯都没问题 。
不过这套系统也有局限，学了基本英语的人能写简单内容，但听不懂“真正英语”的回答

基础英语（Basic English）：由语言学家查尔斯·凯·奥格登（C.K. Ogden）于1930年提出，仅包含850个核心词汇，旨在促进国际交流。

奥格登“基本英语”体系的核心特点
1.极简词汇设计
仅包含850个核心单词，分为三类：
100个操作词（Operations）
：如come、go、make、take等，覆盖日常动作与逻辑关系；
200个具象名词（Things）
：如animal、building、country等，对应可视觉化的具体事物；
100个描述性词汇（Qualities）
